Team Volta Management Interacts With Customers

Hundreds of customers and residents in the Ho municipality who thronged the Pensioners’ hall in Ho, to participate in ECG’s Customer Day forum on January 30, 2018, have expressed their satisfaction and gratitude to the Company and called on other public service institutions to emulate this initiative.

The Customer Day forum, a Public Relations initiative, is designed to offer customers and users of electricity, a platform to directly engage the Regional Management team of the ECG with questions and issues of concern, and was broadcast live on five (5) radio stations.

Opening the forum, General Manager/Volta, Ing. Joseph M. Forson was grateful to patrons for honoring the Company’s invitation. He recounted the numerous system improvement and network interventions made by the Company to improve the quality of service to customers in the past year.

“Aside increasing the capacity of transformers in some primary substations in the Region, we have injected transformers in several communities which hither to, were experiencing low voltage or which per our forecasting, are rapidly expanding” he said.

During the interaction, customer concerns included delayed service acquisition, unannounced outages, seeming uncontrolled activities of Energy Commission certified electricians, proposed tariff reduction and bill anomalies. The Regional Management team took turns to respond to each concern, and where necessary, referred the complaints for further attention.

Also present at the Customer open Day aside the Regional Management team were some ECG staff; the Regional Chairman of the Public Utility and Regulatory Commission, Philip Agbezudor; the Regional Industrial relations Officer of the Public Utility Workers Union, Elvis Vanlare, and other TUC officials.
