Tema South ECG to disconnect power from slums

The Tema South District of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has disclosed that it would soon embark on a disconnection exercise in slums within its jurisdiction.

Mr Christopher Apawu, ECG Tema South District Engineer, disclosing this during the third ordinary meeting of the second session of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA), said the haphazard power connections in slums was a waiting disaster therefore the need to remove all the cables.

Tema ECG steps up campaign against power theft



Seven districts under the Tema Regional Office of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) have embarked on its monthly campaign against power theft and improving revenue collection.

Apart from the Krobo district, which did not participate, the Tema North, Afienya, Prampram, Ada, Nungua, Tema South and Ashaiman districts all actively were involved in the campaign.

ECG commissions two new customer service centres in Volta Region

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has commissioned two new Customer Service Centres in the Volta Region.

The service centres, located at Adidome in the Central Tongu District and Abor in the Keta Municipality, were to boost the company’s strategic policy of promoting corporate visibility and delivering quality and excellent services to customers.
