ECG meters thief in court

An unemployed man is in the grip of the police for allegedly stealing prepaid meters from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), and selling them to the public.

A total of 11 meters valued at $2,600 (GH¢15,000) were retrieved from Edward Abeiku, who had sold each of the meters at the cost of GH¢600.
